’80s Themed Bar Coming to Downtown Cedar Rapids

Its developers are calling it "The Rewind".

The former location of Backpocket Pilot Pub is being prepped to reopen as an '80s-themed bar. The details are sparse at this time but you'll soon be able to moonwalk your way into 415 3rd St. SE for something very sleek and exciting.

Other big restaurant news was reported in the Gazette recently, too, as many local spots are being repurposed into new establishments.

Sometime in February will be the target opening for Moco Game Room & Hot Dog Bar, another very nostalgic-sounding hotspot featuring arcade and board games for your entertainment, and a hot dog bar. The owners of Local Pour & Street Food in Cedar Rapids are working on this in the old Dick's Tap & Shake Room and Mahoney's location at 1602 E Ave NE.
