The Iowa women's basketball team is on a roll. Bluder's Bunch got a huge win last night and sits behind only one team. That squad is led by a very familiar face to those in Cedar Rapids.

The Hawkeye women beat Nebraska last night in overtime in Iowa City. It marked the first time Iowa has beaten the Cornhuskers since they joined the conference in 2011. That win puts Iowa at 16-3 and 7-1 in the Big 10, second only to the Maryland Terrapins (17-2 and 8-0).

Quiz time... who is Maryland coached by? Yes, that's Brenda Frese (below), the Cedar Rapids Washington graduate, who's been at the helm of the Maryland Terrapins since 2002.

Sadly, the Hawks & Terps don't meet at Carver-Hawkeye this season. They play only once... this Sunday afternoon at 3 in College Park, Maryland. You can watch it on ESPN 2.

It's an extremely tough week for the Iowa women. It started with the big win last night over #15 Nebraska and Thursday night brings a trip to Northwestern. The Wildcats are having a good season too, at 14-5 overall. Bluder's bunch would be wise not to overlook them with such a B1G game on the slate Sunday afternoon.
