After winning three national championships during her career at Connecticut, former Linn-Mar star Kiah Stokes was taken in the first round of the WNBA draft tonight. Meanwhile, Sam Logic, a two-time consensus All-American at Iowa was also among the first players taken.

Sam Logic became the first Iowa women's player ever invited to the draft, and was taken in the first round with the #10 pick overall. She was chosen by the Atlanta Dream.

Kiah Stokes also grabbed an invite and was selected with the #11 pick in the first round. Her professional career will begin with the New York Liberty of the WNBA.
