A Swift Kick to The Head Can Save Your Life

The video went viral yesterday of the kid who decided to take a selfie right next to the train tracks, and gets a swift boot to the head courtesy of the conductor.  No doubt the kid was a moron.  But was the conductor really a jerk... or a huge HERO?Watching the video, I was thinking the conductor got lucky that when he kicked the kid, the kid didn't go stumbling backward and get killed.  As much as the kid was a moron, I kinda wanted to label the kicker as a jerk too.  Turns out, he's really the hero!  When you freeze the shot, as seen above, you can see the conductor saved the kid from getting impaled by a piece of metal jutting out from the train (as circled in red).  Wow!

Moral of the story: Don't jump to conclusions (except that the kid is still a moron).
