An Iowa hospital that's been struggling financially is now having to make some unfortunate cuts.

CBS2 reports that UnityPoint Health in Marshalltown is cutting a total of 15 jobs. This news comes after it has been reported that "the operation is running a $7 million deficit," according to UnityPoint Health Regional Marketing Director Laura Rainey.

The areas that will be affected include the intensive care unit and the hospital's cafe. This will cause some inconvenience for patients as the nearest ICU will be 50 minutes to just over an hour away in the cities of Ames and Waterloo. It also puts 15 employees between these two areas out of a job. It has been noted though that they will be able to apply for other positions within the UnityPoint System.
