Another bank robbery is Cedar Rapids occurred this afternoon, causing a reported temporary school lock down. Here's what we know, as this troubling trend continues to plague the area.
At 1p, Cedar Rapids police responded to an armed robbery at the Guaranty Bank on Bever Ave SE.  They were informed a black male wearing a white long sleeve T-shirt and a cap entered the bank (as seen above), displayed a handgun and demanded cash.  He then left the bank on foot. Thankfully no injuries were reported.   No photographs have been provided at this time.  We wonder if this has any relation to the robberies 4 weeks ago, or the robbery of this same branch almost 2 weeks ago.  The only arrest in this troubling string happened May 2nd, as police arrested a 24-year-old man who fled on foot after an a downtown bank robbery.

See photos of the suspects of the late April robberies here.
