Apply Early for That Spring and Summer Job in Cedar Rapids

Spring is nearly here. That means warmer weather, fresh air, more sunshine--and good money if you're looking for a seasonal job. The City of Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department says if you need spring or summer work, don't wait, the time to apply is now.

KCRG says the Parks and Rec department is hiring for a number of positions that will run from April through October. From lifeguards to park maintenance to concession workers and more, they are currently taking applications. Most positions will pay from $9-$9.75 per hour or more.

It's important to apply early because some jobs, like those for lifeguards and swim instructors, require CPR certification or other extra training to qualify.
