Ariana Grande has long drawn vocal comparisons to Mariah Carey, who is undoubtedly one of the premiere contemporary vocalists of our generation. And annunciation criticism aside, Ari really truly is one of the more vocally gifted pop stars out there currently. In a surprising new duet, however, fans are about to hear Ariana Grande like never before. Literally.

Ari is known for her music collaborations. From Iggy Azalea to Zedd to The Weeknd to Nicki Minaj, Grande has teamed up with some of the best of the best. And yet, there is always room for something bigger and better—iconic, even—which Ari has now achieved thanks to a magical duet with none other than opera legend Andrea Bocelli. Listen below:

The 57-year-old blind Italian opera artist enlisted the petite pop diva to sing on his upcoming album Cinema, on which Ariana lends her sugary voice for an emotional, sweeping duet with Bocelli on "E Più Ti Penso," a ballad from the drama film Once Upon a Time In America. Considering Bocelli is one of the most revered classical vocalists in the world, the collaboration is not only a huge honor for the 22-year-old pop artist, but also serves as a stunning outlet for showcasing her gorgeous, powerful vocal skills alongside one of the maestros.

And who knew Ari's Italian was so polished!?
