In today's society, the innovations for food are endless. But, somebody had to be first to come up with these delicious items! Thrillist came up with a list of the best food innovations to come from each US state, and that includes fast food restaurants.
Let's start with Iowa! The first machine to ever produce sliced bread was invented in none other than Davenport. That's right, SLICED BREAD is from right here in Iowa! And it's only been around since 1928. Unless you're the type of person that enjoys trying to slice your bread evenly all by yourself, I'm assuming you enjoy this treasure on a daily basis.
