You’re The Reason We Love Doing Contests

As a radio station, we do contests... a lot of contests.  It's just something we do, and another reason why you love us.  But for us, there's a lot more to it than just giving out some kind of prize. For us, it's about giving out opportunities.  Sometimes it's large scale trips.  Other times it's something smaller, like tickets to the movies, a t-shirt, or tickets to a local sporting event.  But each prize, no matter what it may be, is a big deal to us.  And over the past 24 hours, you've reminded us how important it is to you too.

Yesterday, at the NewBo Music Festival, we played a ton of games with you guys, and gave out all sorts of smaller prizes, from tickets to the Kernels, the movies, or Penguins Comedy Club, to CDs and suckers. And each time we awarded you, or surprised you with something, you loved it.  Who doesn't love winning after all.  But it's even cooler when a simple prize becomes a rewarding experience.

Such was the case today. A family who won tickets to the Kernels for today's game got the chance to enjoy a memorable afternoon while celebrating their son's 10th birthday.  How cool!  Glad we could help make the day extra special.
