Longtime music fan, I didn't catch the radio bug till college up at Winona State University in Minnesota. After that, well as they say, the rest is history. Once radio gets in your system, there's nothing else you can think of doing. And I'm glad that road has landed me here in Cedar Rapids. I'm not a born Cedar Rapidian, but am a Chicago burbs implant. First radio gig was doing mornings on Soft Rock KREZ in Cape Girardeau, MO, so being back on the format is a welcome home. Since that start though, I've become a father of 2 (9 yr old daughter Mikayla and 5yr old son Nathan), and husband to an amazing wife, Lauren, for 12 years (my HS sweetheart). We also have a cat, although we're dog people at heart. Besides here and Cape Girardeau, I've also in small town Illinois, and have been on almost all formats, including Country, Classic Rock, "Oldies", and Pop stations, but like I said before, being on KDAT is like a return to my roots. I love being a part of closing out your workday and getting you home to relax and unwind.

What To Do With This Piece of Autographed Memorabilia

The last Titans game of the season became a really special event as it was the first time my son joined me on the job.  We had so much fun bonding, and even caught a football. We couldn't wait to get down on the field after the game to get autographs, which we did, and ended up with some other autographed gear too. But I don't know what to do with it.

Summer Fun Doesn’t Mean TV and Video Games – A Pinteresting World

There's so much talk about binge watching these past few years that it's become almost common place.  However, for kids, it's just not okay, especially when it's summer and the weather is so nice.  The same can be said for video game marathons.  Here's an easy way to control the electronics, while teaching kids a necessary life skill.
