John Boyega Says the Fans Will ‘Appreciate’ Carrie Fisher’s ‘Last Jedi’ Send-Off

Star Wars: The Last Jedi’s opening in theaters is guaranteed to be one of the most exciting events of the year, and also guaranteed to be overcast by the untimely death of Carrie Fisher. All of her work on the film was completed before she passed away, which may even make watching her onscreen even more difficult. Take a Look at the World’s First Oil Painted Movie in the Gorgeous ‘Loving Vincent’ Trailer

Loving Vincent, about the complicated life and tragic death of Vincent van Gogh, has been in production for more than six years. Not only did the production team meticulously research his life and incorporate his work, his subjects, and around 800 personal letters for the film, but also they created every frame of the movie by hand. It’s not a stretch to say that every frame of this movie is a work of art — because they are! Each of Loving Vincent’s 65,000 frames is itself an oil painting.

Gag reels are a gift given to us by the cinema gods. Who doesn’t enjoy beloved actors from a beloved series messing up their lines repeatedly while everyone else in the cast laughs at them? If a good blooper reel is the number one sign that production on a movie was fun, then Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 must have been a blast. Even if the actors thought some of the lines they had to say sounded kind of ridiculous.

Frozen is heading to Broadway, which comes as absolutely no surprise whatsoever. The Disney film remains one of the company’s biggest releases ever, every kid knows at least the chorus of “Let It Go” by now, and I was just in Target today and they’re still selling Anna and Elsa sippy cups. The musical is imminent, and as such it just debuted the official poster.

The next of James Cameron’s Avatar sequels are officially off and rolling, with visual effects production in full swing today at the Oscar-winning Weta Digital in New Zealand. Watch the Stunning Trailer for a New 70mm Restoration of ‘Lawrence of Arabia’

Lawrence of Arabia is one of the most restored movies in cinematic history. Just five years ago for it’s 50th anniversary in 2012 David Lean’s masterpiece got a pristine 4K restoration to mark the occasion, but don’t think that means anyone’s done with it yet. Lawrence of Arabia is returning to theaters soon in 70mm, the way it was meant to be seen, and the new trailer is fittingly gorgeous.
