The Cure To Your BaconFest Withdrawl

I don't know about you, but I had a great time at BaconFest, as did the many in attendance.  And the dishes were so good, with so many different options. But if you're like me, going through a Bacon withdrawl, here's a dish I didn't see that I'm ready to try, like now!

And while this sounds amazing, I certainly don't want to knock some of the absolutely delicious dishes that were available Saturday.  The People's Choice Best Dish Award went to the Bacon Bouquet plate, with Bacon Roses, bacon and beet carnations, and some other tasty treats making it a filling and delicious dish, that was also beautiful to look at.  Congrats to soon to open Black Sheep Social Club on this dish.

The next 2 closest dishes went to BaconWrapped Des Moines with their Bacon wrapped brown sugar pineapple, and their Bacon jalapeno cream corn, which was a true stunner of the day. I'm not a big cream corn fan, and I talked a to a bunch others who share my opinion.  However, we all agreed it was so, so good.

I certainly don't want to take away from all the other great dishes too, like all the chocolate and bacon creations, the bacon gelato creations, or the bacon with donut combos, let alone the very popular bacon/dumpling combos and bacon sandwiches... there was just so much amazing bacon food!

For being in it's 3rd year, this was easily the best one yet, and I can't wait till next year!  In the meantime, I need to go get me some string cheese and more BACON!
