A female counselor in Bettendorf was arrested for sexual exploitation after inviting a female client to her home, where she gave her drinks while attempting to grope and kiss her while they were in the therapist's hot tub.

According to the QCTimes, 45 year old Aracely Schutters faces one count of sexual exploitation by a counselor/therapist, a Class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

Cops say she admitted to the encounter, which happened last December.

WQAD reported that she texted an apology to her client following the incident.

Since her arrest, Schutters has been released by her employer and will attend a preliminary hearing February 2.
