Actress Nina Millin had the genius idea to take lyrics to some of Beyonce’s most popular songs and convert them into a performance of dramatically spoken word. Her videos will have you wondering, “Why didn’t I think of that first?!”

The ‘Beyoncelogues,’ as Nina is calling her video series, has truly transformed Beyonce as we know and love her. Even if you can spout off the words to ‘Irreplaceable’ backwards and forwards, it’s hard to watch Nina recite the lyrics and remember what they sound like when actually sung by Queen Bey.

Nina opened up about the origins of her brilliant video idea to Esquire Magazine, revealing that the idea was born after she tried and failed to sing a Beyonce song during a karaoke session. To spare herself the humiliation of not sounding like Beyonce — who does, other than the star herself — Nina used her theatrical background to perform a monologue instead.

And thanks to the overwhelming response she’s received, it seems like the ‘Beyoncelogues’ will be growing into something big.

“I think I misunderstood how beloved Beyonce is,” Nina said of the immense popularity of the videos. “I think we’re really on to something here.”
