Pessimists rejoice! The combination of the holidays and winter season tend to cause a lot of physical, emotional and financial stress, and it apparently all comes to a head on one particular day in January.

According to an article in the Mirror, December 11 was the day people are most likely to get dumped, but "Blue Monday" is dubbed the unofficial most depressing day of the year.

It's kind of like the unofficial deadline for most New Year's resolutions to be broken. And it's happening soon. No surprise that it's on a Monday. Put in for a vacation day on January 16 so you can "celebrate" this all-important occasion to let out all that pent-up frustration and disappointment without bumming out your more upbeat and cheery co-workers. They'll appreciate it and you might be better off for it.
