Bob Seger Postpones Des Moines and Entire U.S. Concert Tour

Bob Seger has announced that he is postponing his current U.S. concert tour effective immediately, due to an urgent medical issue.

He was scheduled to appear next Tuesday October 10, at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Seger opened the national tour, expected to be his last full major tour, with a show on August 26 at the iWireless Center in Moline.

There was some speculation that he was that he was suspending his tour out of concern for victims of the Las Vegas tragedy or perhaps out of respect for his friend Tom Petty.

But the actual reason given is that an urgent medical issue concerning his vertebrae is the cause of stopping the tour. Seger did not perform as scheduled on Saturday night in Columbus and the news today now explains why.

On his Facebook page, Bob says he hope to be back on the road soon to complete the "Runaway Train" tour as soon as he is able.

According to Ultimate Classic Rock "rescheduled dates will be announced when available. Tickets sold for concerts that are being rescheduled will be honored at the new dates. Seger recently revealed that he will be releasing a new album, I Knew You When, on Nov. 17."
