An Iowa couple and their two daughters got an amazing surprise at a Carrie Underwood concert this week. A visit from the superstar herself.

Sgt. First Class Jonathon Martin and his wife Cara along with their daughters Eryca and Taryn were backstage at Carries concert in Philadelphia on Monday night when the singer suddenly appeared beside them. Underwood said that she was happy she was able to meet them and thank them for their service. The Philly concert is one of several stops on Underwood's tour where she plans on thanking veterans.

The effort is part of Operation Homefront, an organization that provides support and services to military families. They selected the Martin family to attend the concert and gave them a cruise which will feature another private performance from Underwood.

Jonathon Martin is originally from Center Point while wife Cara is from Vinton. Both joined the Army in 2004. Cara was discharged from the reserves in 2012 and currently works for The Department of Veterans Affairs. SFC Jonathon Martin is currently the Center Commander of the Lansdale Army Recruiting Center.
