New Year's Eve is rapidly approaching, and you're working on finalizing your plans. When you have kids, you look for ways to keep them entertained, so they can celebrate the day, whether or not that means staying up till midnight.  This year, there's only one event parents AND kids can be involved in, that'll not only pull you closer as a family, but will also wear the kids out a bit, with plenty of time for the parents to enjoy their New Year's Eve as well.  Best yet, it's not going to break anyone's budget, and there's a TON packaged into one event.

Join KDAT, Macaroni Kid, and the Cedar Rapids Rampage for the Big Top Balloon Drop event starting at 11am at the US Cellular Center this New Year's Eve.  From 11a-1p, there'll be 5 giant inflatables on the field plus a trackless train. During this time, there'll also be a balloon artist, face painting, and other games around the concourse, all of which will continue past 1p well into the start of the Rampage soccer game, which starts at 2p.  Then, at halftime of the soccer game, the kids are invited back down to the field for a giant balloon drop to celebrate the New Year!

The event is free for kids with each paying adult, and tickets start at just $9, for which you get all this stuff, including the high energy soccer action of the Rampage that we've been enjoying this season.  There is no other local New Year's Eve event that gives you all this, and is entertaining for the whole family.

KDAT will also be on site providing the music and broadcasting live, enjoying the fun too! We really can't wait.  My kids have been looking forward to this for weeks! Hope to see you there!
