Quite the frenzy was caused Friday as news spread that Cherry Hill Aquatic Center would be closed for an undetermined amount of time, as glass was broken along the pool's edge, with some falling into the pool. Today, we find out crews have been busy, and the pool is set to re-open sooner than expected.

According to the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department, Cherry Hill Aquatic Center will reopen at 11:45 a.m. tomorrow,  resuming "its normal swimming schedule as posted on crrec.org."

As previously reported, the "Longest Day of Summer" event scheduled for last Saturday will now be held this upcoming Saturday, June 28th, from 1-10pm.
