Cedar Rapids City Pools Open Friday

There's nothing better on a hot summer day, than a cold dip in the swimming pool. While Memorial Day weekend saw an early opening for one of the city's pools, Noelridge Aquatic Center in Cedar Rapids, this weekend marks the opening of  others.

On Friday, June 2, the following pools will each be open for their "Kick-Off Swim", with lap swim from 5:15-6:15 p.m. and Open Swim from 6:30-8:30 p.m.:

• Bever Pool
• Cherry Hill Aquatic Center
• Ellis Pool
• Jones Pool
