Cedar Rapids Gordmans Saved

When Gordmans filed for bankruptcy in early March, they also announced the closure of all of their stores as a result.

Over this past weekend, however, it was reported that a company called Stage Stores had bought the leases of at least half (50) of the company's 100 stores.

We now know that the Iowa Gordmans locations, Cedar Rapids among them, are being saved by the buyout.

CBS2 also reports that the locations in Coralville, Waterloo, Davenport, Des Moines, Council Bluffs and Sioux City will be able to stay afloat.

This is great news for Gordmans in Iowa and all of its shoppers.
