All good things must come to an end.

On Wednesday, December 6 at 7 p.m.  the Paramount Theater, this year's performance of 'Tribute' will mark the end of this holiday tradition, dating back to 1998.

Kathy Donnelly, Nina Swanson and Carol Montag started this show nineteen years ago, intent on it being a one-time event (they each have day jobs!). It has moved back and forth between Theatre Cedar Rapids, CSPS Hall and the Paramount Theatre, but has grown into a holiday must-see for many in our community. The group even produces CDs based on the show.

What can you expect from this final edition? The Paramount Theatre website says,

The performance will delight all ages with a broad variety of selections ranging from original and soulful arrangements of traditional hymns and carols to fun interpretations of favorites across the generations and genres of music. An amazing ensemble of the finest locally grown talent that will entertain, relax and put you in the spirit of the season.

Sounds like the perfect event to put you and your family in a Christmas mood! Much like the performers and fans who have attended over the years, we will be sad to see it go. If you'd like to attend, you can visit the Paramount Theatre box office or website for more information.
