Cedar Rapids Named one of the Best Cities in the State

You might see this and say, "yeah, try paying my bills and mortgage and tell me how affordable it is". But, by comparison to other places, it is. The article states residents here pay 24 percent of their income on housing, which is below average.

Iowa is almost always at, or near the top of the list when it comes to the best education system. Despite the unfortunate recent announcement of teaching cuts, Cedar Rapids is one of the best in our top-notch state for education.

It's no surprise this is a criteria. With four live entertainment venues, a thriving downtown business and housing community, and dozens of existing restaurants and bars (not to mention the new ones popping up constantly), downtown Cedar Rapids is always ranked high among people who visit and keep track of the best downtown districts.

We have lots of city parks to enjoy and you can take a leisurely stroll on the walking trails that accompany many of them. Some outdoor spots like Indian Creek Nature Center and Noelridge Park with its greenhouse, even provide educational opportunities.
