Devin D. Cariens Hook, 18, of Cedar Rapids and Brandon Goad, a juvenile who's facing charges as an adult, reportedly shot one woman in the chest twice, resulting in injuries. Police say they were using a stolen carbon dioxide-powered BB gun and were shooting people randomly.

Iowa City Police accuse the two of also planning a robbery for gas money for the 2008 Chevy Uplander they were driving at the time. Goad was reportedly driving and pulled the vehicle up to a woman in the 600 block of South Gilbert Street. Police say Cariens Hook jumped from the vehicle, ran toward the woman, and demanded money with also threatening her with the BB gun.

Cariens Hook and Goad were later located after victims gave descriptions of the two and their vehicle.

Iowa City Police say Cariens Hook has confessed. According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, he's charged with first-degree robbery, a class B felony, and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. According to the Iowa City Press-Citizen the two charges, combined, could result in up to 27 years in prison.

There's no information on charges against Goad at this time.
