A fourth anchor tenant at Westdale Mall has been unveiled. JCPenney, Younkers, and Burlington will be joined by Ross Dress for Less. According to a release from Westdale Mall, it will be located in the ground floor of the former Von Maur building. KCRG reports they will use half of the space on the first floor.

In the press release, Ross Dress for Less is described as the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the country. They sell in-season, first-quality name brand and designer apparel, accessories, footwear, and home fashions. Ross Dress for Less has 1,342 locations in 36 states, D.C. and Guam. This will be its first Iowa store. Remodeling of the former Von Maur building is expected to begin this summer. No opening date for the new store has been announced.

According to Ross Stores, the first locations opened in 1982. It also says they sell merchandise for "20-60% off department store prices every day."

The incredible resurgence of Westdale Mall (it still bears the name though totally reconfigured) and the surrounding area continues and this is just one more exciting piece of news for the west side of Cedar Rapids!
