Chances are you know someone who was affected by breast cancer in your life, and over the years the movement has grown. Though many have passed, the community of survivors and support have grown stronger. Monica Alderson wants to make sure everyone is aware of how important it is to continue that fight. Several dozen bras line a fence in her yard she is a 7-year breast cancer survivor.

"You have to spread awareness because that's the only way we're going to be able to hopefully find a cure, each bra has a name attached to it. Each person is either a survivor. The black ribbons are someone who has passed away,” Monica Alderson Breast Cancer Survivor.

Since displaying the bras, neighbors have joined in. Even strangers driving by have asked to honor their loved ones in the tribute.

"I had one guy stop by and say 'will you put one up for my wife' so yeah I had a couple extra so I put one up for his wife.” Monica Anderson
