I got all four of my wisdom teeth ripped out of my face on Friday, and by Sunday, my face felt a lot like a hot air balloon.

Before you ask: no, there are no videos of me all whacked out after my surgery. I will tell you, though, that I do remember trying to dance to prove to the nurses that I didn't need a wheelchair (I most definitely DID need a wheelchair). I also remember expressing my need for french fries. Other than that, my drive home from the oral surgeon was not video-worthy. I basically just passed out with a mouth full of gauze. I'm sure I looked lovely.

Over the past few days, I've been carefully monitoring my progress and being extra cautious when it comes to eating and brushing. Unfortunately, that didn't stop my face from turning into its very own Snapchat filter. I did my best to capture the level of swollenness of my face, but pictures can only do it so much justice. Sunday was the worst day, by far. Here are some embarrassing photos of my face... enjoy:

The above photo is the first picture I took after surgery. I have a really cool headwrap full of ice packs. I apparently thought the fox filter on Snapchat would be the most flattering.

This is the photo from Sunday. One side of my face was obviously much larger than the other.

Although I'm still in a lot of pain, I'm thankful that the surgery went as well as it did. I guess there was some bone covering the bottom ones, AND the nerve ran right through the roots down there, so it could've been worse. I'm gonna just keep taking my meds and thinking about nachos :)
