If you have any chicken salad from Fareway Grocery Stores in your fridge, you might need to throw it out due to a salmonella outbreak. Fareway has pulled the product from its shelves after the Iowa Department of Public Health contacted them about cases of salmonella.

According to officials, the chicken salad which is produced for Fareway by a third party has been implicated in salmonella cases across the state of Iowa. That is according to the State Hygienic Laboratory.

Fareway says that no chicken salad has been sold since the evening of February 9th. Health officials say if you purchased some prior to that date you should NOT eat it and throw it away immediately.
