Valentine's Day is just around the corner. A day of romance. A day to tell your special someone that you love them. Why do we even need Valentine's Day? Because most couples don't have that much time together to be romantic in the first place!

According to a survey, the average couple only spends 7 minutes a day being romantic. That can mean anything from complementing each other, to cuddling on the couch, to all out getting it on. The same study found that we only spend an average of 10 hours a week with our significant other. That's only about an hour and a half per day!

Holly and I both have full-time jobs. We don't even see each other in the morning when I leave for work. She works until 5 or 6 p.m. By the time she gets home, we fix dinner, clean up, bath the kids and put them to bed, we're both exhausted too! We're lucky if we have 15 minutes alone on the couch before one of us falls asleep! That's why making time for each other has to remain a priority, no matter how long you've been in a relationship.

So go ahead and make some Valentine's Day plans. Odds are you and your partner need some alone time!
