Monday night was the first night of the Lives on NBC's 'The Voice," and all the contestants really brought their A-game! I have to say, I am all about the ladies this season. Don't get me wrong, there are some great guys on the show right now, but the women are just KILLING IT.

Last week we saw each team cut in half, so this week was a nice break from that. Only one contestant was sent home Tuesday night and it, unfortunately, was our native Iowan Jon Mero. It came down to him and our OTHER Iowan Adam Cunningham, so it was a tough choice. I'm happy to say, though, that none of my favorites were cut.

My absolute favorite performance of the week was from Addison Agen on Team Adam. She sang "She Used to Be Mine" from the musical Waitress, which was written by one of my favorite artists of all time, Sara Bareilles. The performance was so good that it brought me to tears. I also thought that 15-year-old Shi'Ann on Team JHud had her best performance this week with Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love." She hits those high notes like it's NOTHING. Just amazing. Here are some of the performances I enjoyed the most this week, in case you missed them:
