There's something in the water at the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. The zoo has now had TWELVE births in the last 13 months. That's one busy nursery. The latest came on June 3 when this adorable little girl came into the world, the first Japanese macaque born at the zoo in 15 years.

According to the Des Moines Register, the births from the last year cover several different species. There's been a giraffe, black rhino, desert antelope, two addax, three elands, two Bactrian camels, and two wallabies born. Here's many of them:

Visitors will get to see the Japanese macaque baby in person in a few weeks. It will be visible in an outdoor area from the west observation deck. The zoo's newest addition officially gets a name this Friday. My suggestion? 'Precious.'
