Disney Announces The End Of Their Infinity Gaming System

The Disney Infinity gaming system allowed gamers to play as their favorite Disney characters. Whether you wanted to be Elsa from Frozen or Chewbacca from Star Wars, you could say thanks to the Infinity system. It is a gaming platform that those with kids may have in their house. But sadly, the world of Infinity is coming to an end.

Disney announced on Tuesday that they were discontinuing the Infinity gaming system. The latest version of the game was Infinity 3.0 which launched in late 2015. Disney announced that they will no longer be releasing an Infinity 4.0.  The game became increasingly popular with the release of various Star Wars characters and play sets. My kids have nearly three dozen Infinity characters. But new ones will soon be a thing of the past.

Two more play sets based on Disney movies will be released this year. Alice Through the Looking Glass and Finding Dory will be the last of Disney Infinity 3.0.
