I don't want to get too personal...but I'm curious. Do companies still hand out Christmas bonuses to their employees? I feel this type of generosity is a thing of the past.... but I don't know?

It's been a long time since I've had a Christmas bonus. Instead of money, most companies I've worked for throw a party at the end of the year. It's not cash, but we usually have an open bar, great food and a bottle of wine. If you ask me, it's better than nothing!

My father always got a check from his boss the week of Christmas. My mom told me that money was important to help cover their holiday expenses for the family. Some years were better than others, but I never heard them complain.

As I wrap up I'll ask you this: Do you feel you deserve a Christmas bonus? If so, what's fair? Comment below and will discuss your answers!

Happy Holidays!
