Saturday is National Drone Day and drone owners will be racing their aircraft at speeds of up to 80 miles-per-hour at a free event.

'The Midwest Drone Battle' as it's being billed will happen at the Marion Airport beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday. More than 30 racers have committed to racing at the event with a top prize of $2,000 for the Main Event Champion. There's also a $500 prize for the Freestyle Champion.

Here's a timeline for Saturday's Midwest Drone Battle:

  • 10 a.m. to noon: Product Demonstrations
  • 1 to 3 p.m.:Freestyle Event
  • 3 to 7 p.m.: Main Event-Races
