Two kids from Waterloo were arrested late Thursday evening after burglary alarms sounded at two different Waterloo businesses.

The first alarm sounded Thursday evening at around 10:49 at Nate's Auto at 1821 Commercial St. Another alarm came about 15 minutes later at Black Hawk Rental at 324 W. 15th St. Black Hawk Rental and Nate's Auto are about three blocks apart.

According to the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier, Waterloo police found broken glass and the two boys, 9 and 12, were detained after they were found between Jefferson St. and Washington St. They've been charged with attempted burglary at Nate's Auto.

A burglary last Saturday, June 9 and another one Tuesday, June 12 are both still under investigation. Cash and fireworks were stolen from SNT Fireworks during the June 9 burglary, while keys were taken in the Tuesday break-in at Metro Transmission and Auto Repair. Those two businesses are about a mile apart. No arrests have been made in either of those break-ins.
