Eastern Iowa is Home to a Bodybuilding Grandma! [WATCH]

I was scrolling through KCRG's website this morning when I came across a familiar face! Ryan, Iowa resident Erin Maretta was featured in a news story yesterday titled, "Eastern Iowa Grandma Bodybuilder earns Pro Card."

Now, obviously, Erin doesn't look like your stereotypical grandma, but she's using that title to inspire others to get fit. She told KCRG, "If I can do it anybody can." As a mother of five and a grandmother of two, she knows how difficult it can be to focus on yourself, but she started prioritizing her own health and has become very dedicated! She works out about six days a week and has competed in several bodybuilding competitions. She even earned her bikini masters pro card during a big competition in Kansas City!

We had the pleasure of meeting Erin last summer during a Listener Lunch stop at Wild Hogs in Walford. I was so impressed when she told me about her bodybuilding that we ended up talking about it for most of the meal! When I told her that I wanted to write a blog about her this morning, she told me was happy to cooperate if she could change just one person's way of thinking. Erin is definitely proof that it's never too late to get in shape!
