The first installment of "Marion by Moonlight", sponsored by Farmers State Bank last Thursday was a smashing success, thanks to fantastic weather and the live, local music in the park series that has become an area tradition.

The weather looks great again this week, so bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the music of the Blue Scratch Band!

According to the band's Facebook page, they are known for their mix of classic rock and R&B, with a touch of the blues. Sounds like a good time and we hope you can make it. The rest of the lineup for the month features The Large Midgets on June 15 and Zachary Freedom Duo on June 22nd.

Remember, if the concerts are postponed due to inclement weather, June 29 will be a make-up/rain date.

The event gets underway in Marion Square Park, food is available starting at 6 p.m. and the band taking the stage at 6:30. Have some fun under the sun stars and moonlight...it's Marion by Moonlight, sponsored by Farmers State Bank.
