Pawsome Paws Fun Walk
Lace up for Last Hope animals!
It’s time to lace up those sneakers, grab a leash and your canine companion and walk for a cause! Last Hope Animal Rescue is gearing up for its Pawsome Paws Fun Walk on April 26th, by calling on all animal lovers to walk and help raise funds in support of providing medical care and finding homes for homeless pets in our community.
We are excited to sponsor our first Pawsome Paws Walk commemorating 10 years of helping animals in our community
Join us at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids from 10am-2pm. Simply register online by clicking the link below, or print a form HERE and mail to LHAR Pawsome Paws PO BOX 75, Shellsburg, Ia 52332 or registering on the day of. Everyone is welcome! Walkers may participate with or without their canine companion (or in honor of a pet). Online registrants before April 1st will receive a commemorative 2014 Pawsome Paws t-shirt!
“We are excited to sponsor our first Pawsome Paws Walk commemorating 10 years of helping animals in our community,” said Julie Tande, board member, treasurer and event director. “Our Nonprofit Program is committed to saving the lives of helpless and homeless animals and finding them forever homes in our community.”
The event kicks off at 10am. Options include a walk through beautiful Noelridge Park ending at the pet festival where there is something for everyone. The event is much more than a dog walk. Pawsome Paws will include a variety of vendors, informational booths and crafters, Pawsome Paw Prints, Ask the Trainer, Doggy Day Spa, Last Hope’s adoptable pets and a fun dog contest to enter. There will also be food and beverages available for purchase. Bring the kids because there will be plenty of games and activities, face painting, arts & crafts, bubble stations and a special appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog!
Last Hope Animal Rescue is a non profit 501c3 founded in 2004 to provide care, protection and loving homes for abandoned and homeless companion animals in the Greater Cedar Rapids area. Last Hope supports activities advocating responsible pet ownership and the prevention of abuse and cruelty, and it sponsors events and activities that promote the health and welfare of animals and demonstrates the benefits of the human-animal bond.
