Cedar Rapids Prairie High School Student Council is sponsoring a 5k on Saturday, April 2 at College Community Schools in Cedar Rapids. Proceeds from this event will benefit Iowa Children's Hospital through Children's Miracle Network.
Everyone is welcome to this event... young or old... Prairie-related or not... runner or not... All you have to have is a heart for our kids!
In order to serve all people, you will have an hour and a half to complete this 5k course (3.1 miles), which allows up to just under 30 minutes per mile pace. The post-race party will begin 15 minutes after the beginning of the race and will last until 30 minutes after the close of the course. The Closing Awards Ceremony will take place 45 minutes after the beginning of the race. For more details visit the Prairie of Miracles 5k website.
