It was a road trip gone bad as Iowa fell to Maryland Sunday 91-73. The loss put the Hawkeyes at 0-5 in Big Ten play and 9-9 on the season. The game was physical from the start, something that didn't sit well with head coach Fran McCaffery.

McCaffery got two technicals in the first half and was ejected from the game with 44 seconds left in the half. He was reacting to Cordell Pemsl getting elbowed in the face and no foul being called. Tyler Cook also got a technical foul in the second half and ended up fouling out of the game.

There were some bright spots for Iowa as Isiah Moss found his shooting touch to lead Iowa with 25 points. Nicholas Baer had 11 rebounds, but the story once again was the Iowa defense falling apart and allowing Maryland to get open shots.

Iowa plays this Thursday at Illinois.
