Give a Shout Out to a Nurse in Your Life for National Nurses Week!

It's time to honor a wonderful group of people who save lives every single day!

In case you didn't know, this week is National Nurses Week! National Nurses Week is always celebrated May 6-12th, with the 12th being Florence Nightingale's birthday. The American Nursing Association has named 2017 "The Year of the Healthy Nurse," and given it the theme "Nursing: the Balance of Mind, Body, and Spirit."

Speaking from personal experience, I don't think that a lot of people truly understand and appreciate all of the things that nurses go through on a daily basis. I know that I didn't even begin to get it until I became an adult and saw people I know go into the field. Nurses truly are life savers and we wouldn't survive without them.

In honor of National Nurses Week, we want to recognize amazing nurses in our local area. Give a shout out to your favorite nurse!  All you have to do it give us the name of the nurse(s), tell us where they work, and give us an example of why they're so awesome! Please share your shout out in the comments so we can give these amazing people some recognition!
