Iowa Governor Terry Branstad has ordered all flags in Iowa to be flown at half-staff in honor of two Des Moines police officers killed while on duty. Flags are to be flown at half-staff today and again on Friday in honor of officers Susan Farrell and Carlos Puente-Morales.

The two officers were killed this past weekend when their police cruiser was hit by a driver headed the wrong way on I-80 just west of Des Moines. A prisoner being transported and the driver of the other vehicle were also killed.

Farrell's funeral is set for today, while Puente-Morales will be buried on Friday.
