My smart phone is super smart and is full of spectacular selfies. Just ask me. Do I need one that's even more intelligent? No. I own a Samsung Galaxy S3. Practically a dinosaur these many [22] months after purchase. It does everything I need it to do. Maps/GPS, surfing, podcast catcher, police scanner, Radio Pup, e-mail, tunes & picture storage, etc. I'll never need "more phone" than that.

There are people who camp overnight in line at Best Buy just to get their hands on the latest and greatest phone. The mobile industry is always touting the future features. Wow. What a cash cow that industry is. Take this Forbes article for instance. Paul Monckton describes he and the "cellosphere's" disappointment in the new iPhone 6 camera.

Talk to Canon, Kodak or Nikon about disappointment. Their entire business model has been shredded by cell phone cameras. Today's phones have amazing cameras. Even my ancient 2013 model. Again, I ask you, good KDAT listener: what more needs to be implemented in my phone?

Dual lens camera systems can wait. Oh, what's that? I'll need to pay more for my next phone because it has that sparkling new feature? OK, I'll take it. I might even get out my North Face and camp out at the Collins Road Best Buy. Hope the Geek Squad is ready for a nice bonfire out front.
