Ground Beef Recalled Due To Possible E-Coli Contamination

Nearly 60 tons of ground beef are being recalled due to concerns that it may be contaminated with E-Coli. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration reports that Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling tons of the meat product.

The recall comes after an investigation that began in August. Health officials determined that 17 illnesses and one death were linked to the raw meat being sold at various retail locations around the country. The ground beef was packaged on June 21st, 2018.

This particular recall is categorized as High Risk, meaning that there is a serious health risk of illness or possibly death if the product is consumed. Anyone who purchased the ground beef is urged to throw it away or return it to the point of purchase for a refund. Here is a list of the labels from the meat being recalled.
