Hand-Drawn Animation Lives On

All the big money in film animation is CGI-driven. But, there are still a few gems out there with animators doing it "the old fashioned way."

Have you seen this short called "Feast?" It swallowed up a nice piece of pie last weekend at the 87th Annual Academy Awards. I recently took in a little puppy from a fostering organization in Keokuk. Our little Weshie has many of these same food tendencies...just maybe not at this level of binging!

Feast, a Disney production directed by Patrick Osbourne, the co-head of animation in Big Hero 6, just snagged an Academy Award for Best Animated Short.

Just as record burn sounds retro and cool on a new song, putting this old fashioned twist on a cinematic production makes for a great throwback. Old is new again.
