Research now proves what you knew all along. Those wonderful at-work time wasting videos featuring cute cats are good for you according to this NBC report.

We all need more energy in this burn-the-candle-at-both-ends pace we're on, right? Don't grab that 5 Hour Energy drink. Bypass that third cup of coffee. All you really need to super-charge your workday is a super cute cat video [with KDAT volume up and the YouTube sound turned down, of course].

I've lived with a cat twice in my life. At the age of 1 in St. Louis and when I was 27 in Dubuque. The former ended in a household allergy and the latter ended in a runaway. That first little kitty was "Butterscotch." I was a little too young to remember that cat, but the pictures look good. Wish I had a YouTube video of that sweet girl. The second one was Delilah Bud Melman. She was originally thought to be a he, thus the confusing name. She ran away, but was captured by a friend across town. Bud thought it was best to stay in that neighborhood. I wasn't about to try to convince her of an alternate option.

Here's the cutest cat/kid video I could find. It has 32 million hits. It's that good, and now you can enjoy it knowing a new study proves it's good for you. No sneezing, please.

Join us each week on the KDAT Pet Project for cute cats and cute dogs...all looking to find a new home to be cute in. Subscribe to our You Tube page and see all the videos.
