Here’s What You CAN Take Into Kinnick Stadium For Saturday’s Iowa Game

Another college football season is nearly upon us! The Iowa Hawkeyes kick off their season against Wyoming on Saturday at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. If you haven't been to an Iowa game in awhile, here are some things you need to be aware off before you head into Kinnick!

New this year will be Hawkins Drive closing between Evashevski and Melrose two and a half hours before kick-off. Officials say they hope that will help speed foot and pedestrian traffic on the east side of the stadium leading up to game time. There will also be activities in the Krause Family Plaza including the Iowa players entering the stadium around 2 hours prior to kickoff.

Also, remember that Iowa adheres to the clear bag policy at Kinnick Stadium. You are permitted to bring a clear bag measuring no larger than 12" by 6" by 12". You can also use a 1-gallon freezer or Ziplock bag too. A small clutch bag measuring no larger than 4.5" by 6.5" are also allowed. Be ready to have your bags searched. There will also be lines for those who do not need a bag searched. Blankets and seat cushions without backs are also allowed in Kinnick. You may also bring in one bottle of drinking water.
