Hey, City of Cedar Rapids: Take the Speed Cameras Down or Take a Trip to Court

A few weeks back, I put some speed cam poetry on my blog. Maybe the Iowa Department of Transportation read it. Maybe monkeys will fly out of my mailbox when I receive my next ticket.

Anyway, now the fight gets good.

CBS2 is reporting that Iowa Department of Transportation has denied the City of Cedar Rapids' appeal on a traffic camera ordinance meaning at least four of the traffic cameras are now illegal.

Take 'em down or you'll be taken to court. Mr. Mayor, the ball is in your court. Better get one of those oversized Prince racquets.

Now maybe our Minnesota neighbors will stop writing about America's biggest speed trap.
