There's a story that's gone viral this year of a British mom who has gone wild this Christmas, spending over $2000 on Christmas presents for her 3 young children, with each getting more than 85 presents. She estimates there's about 300 presents under around the tree. Just take a look at the photo, as the presents have swallowed up the tree.

So many have weighed in shouting how awful this is, and how spoiled her kids are, telling her how she should and shouldn't parent, especially at Christmas.  That's the joy of social media, as people can say whatever they want.  However, thanks to the nastiness, mom has responded to the criticism, appearing on many talk shows across the world.  Her sentiments: “I LOVE Christmas I LOVE spoiling my kids in the festive season and I work [sic] hard to make sure it is every bit as amazing as it can be.”  She later added, "The way I see it is you could buy your kids two presents and still have a little terror. My kids know the difference between right and wrong and they appreciate everything they get and they don't get spoiled throughout the year.”

While personally I would never do the same, even if I could, to me, yes, I feel she's gone overboard. But if that's what she wants to do, I'm excited for her and the joys of Christmas morning in that household.  I mean, could you imagine this as a kid? It's a childhood Christmas dream come true, and one they'll never, ever forget!

Admittedly, we all go a little overboard at Christmas.  So how many presents do you get for your kids?
